The Great Raccoon Heist

Maya, Sam, and Zoe were best friends who loved solving mysteries together. When their school's beloved eagle mascot costume disappeared right before the big game, they knew they had to help. The costume had vanished from the storage room without a trace, leaving everyone puzzled. The three friends decided to search the school from top to bottom. They started in the hallway, where Maya discovered something interesting on the floor near the lockers. Small muddy paw prints led away from the storage room, creating a trail that sparked their curiosity. Following the prints, they traced them through the cafeteria, where more clues awaited. Scattered breadcrumbs and an overturned trash can suggested their mystery visitor had been quite busy. The trail continued past the library and down another corridor, growing more mysterious with each step. When they reached the gymnasium doors, Sam noticed they were slightly ajar. Through the crack, strange rustling sounds echoed from within. Zoe pushed the door open wider, and all three friends gasped in amazement. Inside the gym, a family of raccoons had created the coziest home imaginable. The missing eagle costume was spread out like a magnificent blanket, with baby raccoons nestled comfortably in its soft feathers. Mama raccoon sat proudly nearby, clearly pleased with her creative decorating skills. Instead of being upset, the friends found themselves smiling. The raccoons looked so content and happy in their new home. After a gentle conversation with the raccoon family, they worked out a perfect solution. The school decided to let the raccoons stay in a special corner of the gym, while ordering a brand new costume for the games. Everyone was happy, especially the baby raccoons who got to keep their cozy feathered bed.
